Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, sign-in provider, and session data.
- Captures you choose to save, including shared links, text, screenshots, images, uploaded files, notes, source URLs, titles, metadata, user edits, collections, reminders, and related app state.
- Analysis data created for the app, such as summaries, extracted entities, save intent, collection links, search embeddings, reminder suggestions, and analysis status.
- Location-related data only when you grant permission or choose a place feature, such as approximate or precise device location for nearby place search, place names, addresses, map links, and event locations. StowBear is not a continuous location tracking app.
- Device and usage diagnostics, such as app version, timestamps, request status, network errors, and limited client event logs used to keep capture upload and sync working.
- Support communications you send to us.
How We Use Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To save, sync, display, search, organize, analyze, and delete your captures.
- To process captures with AI and URL evidence so the app can show useful titles, summaries, entities, collections, events, reminders, AI insights, and search results.
- To provide place search, map links, and event location features when you choose to use them.
- To send app notifications you enable, such as capture completion or reminder notifications.
- To troubleshoot, secure, measure, and improve the app.
- To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Service Providers
StowBear uses service providers to operate the app. These providers process information on our behalf and may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and edge functions; OpenAI for AI analysis and embeddings; Google services for OAuth sign-in, Places, and map-related features; optional public URL evidence providers such as Exa; and hosting or infrastructure providers used to run the service.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your captures for third-party advertising. We may share information with service providers that help operate StowBear, when you direct us to share it, when needed for security or support, or when required by law.
Security
We use modern transport encryption, authenticated access, private storage for capture assets, and user-scoped database controls designed to limit access to your account data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account information and captures while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. You can delete individual captures in the app. You can delete your account in StowBear Settings or request deletion at stowbear.com/delete-account.
When your account is deleted, StowBear deletes the account and associated captures, assets, collections, reminders, and related app data, except where limited information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.
Children
StowBear is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated date above shows when this policy last changed.
